Knowledges are Fallen Earth's mechanic for granting a clone the ability to perform certain Actions, craft a particular set of Recipes, fast travel to a particular location, harvest various types of nodes, and to keep track of particular upgrades.
Each Knowledge must be learned separately.
- Action Knowledges require advancement in certain Skills & Mutations, and are generally learned directly from Trainers.
- For example, learning Knowledge: Ablate 4, an Enhancement Knowledge, requires an Enhancement mutation of 126. It allows the clone to use the action Ablate 4.
- Recipe Knowledges usually require advancement in certain Tradeskills, and are learned from Manuals which are generally purchased off Trainers.
- For example, learning Knowledge: Short Barrels, a Ballistics Knowledge, requires a Ballistics skill of 30.
- Fast Travel Knowledges require a clone to go interact with the corresponding Fast Travel Terminal.
- For example, learning Knowledge: Citadel Fast Travel requires a clone to interact with the Fast Travel Terminal nearest Citadel.
- Faction Harvesting Knowledges are a special sub-category of Harvest Knowledges. They can be learned by doing missions for a specific faction in a Conflict Town and let you scavenge Supplies of your chosen faction.
- For example, the Tech Harvesting Knowledge is rewarded from Pharmaceutical Paradigm in Wind Farm and lets you scavenge Tech Supplies.
