How to make ammo - for beginners.

In the beginning if you create a character who will use pistols or rifles you will eventually have to learn to make ammo. Even if you dedicate yourself only to melee, you could still learn to make ammunition for helping other players or selling it for profit.

To make ammo you will need to start by making Cheap ammunition. Press L and find the recipe page (crafting menu) and look for the Ballistics skills (it has an icon of bullets). Under the Plattmaster pistol or Air rifle category you will find "Cheap ammunition. This is the beginners guide to make ammo. You need 4 scrap copper to make Cheap ammunition.

Once you decide or get your first weapon you will need to learn to make ammo. You can learn to make Pistol, shotgun and rifle ammuntion from schematic books sold by Ballistics trainers or Tradeskill Trainers.

Bo Lars is a Tradeskill Trainer found on the southwest of Old Kingman in the Plateau Sector(waypoint 4156514,3584668) who sells Pistol, shotgun and rifle ammo schematics. You will need to have a 30 in Ballistics skills to craft ammo and the knowledge to make gunpowder as a pre-requisite.

Gunpowder can be learned from a Science trainer and it requires a skill of 30 in science to craft.
