Account Bound Preorder Items[]
Currently preorder items can only be used on one character on one account. The developers have an upgrade in the pipeline to change them so that they are bound to the account instead. This change will be retroactive, so already redeemed keys will have this change applied automatically.[1]
Social Hubs[]
During open beta it was noticed that players were going back to lower sectors just to hang out, creating social hubs in particular towns. The developers intend to take advantage of and aid this behavior, making it easier for social hubs to be created. Possible features include camps such as those seen in Star Wars: Galaxies.[2]
Flash Mini-Games[]
Flash mini-games are planned for a future patch.[3]
Tutorial Expansion: Trainer Town[]
The developers plan to add in a second tutorial to the new character experience to help bridge the gap between the current, linear tutorial and the open world they are thrown into. This will consist of a "trainer town" added in before the starter town selection to explain things like mounts, tradeskills and special abilities.[4]
Boss Mobs / Unique Items[]
Currently there's little reward for randomly encountering and killing some of the tougher "boss mobs" that populate various locations in the world. The developers plan to add unique item drops to help remedy this.[5]
"Cops and Robbers" PvP System[]
There are plans to add a new form of PvP whereby characters can specifically choose to follow an "evil" path, branding themselves as outlaws and become permanently PvP flagged. Other characters will be able to choose to become "Sheriffs" and become similarly flagged. These characters will then be able to hunt each other down across the world. This has been likened to the "Priest of Discord" system in Everquest. The idea is to provide a simpler, single-shard alternative to an open PvP shard.[6]
