Yes you'll respawn closer, but it could be a long walk to your mount.
Used to respawn clones belonging to the same faction as the corresponding Keep that has access to this machine.
These can be activated with Death Toll points, so that you can respawn at your factions closest Keep.
Description[]
These machines are used to serve as a respawn point inside the Keep. Useful to get back into defense when a Keep is under attack. Unfortunately, if it is not upgraded, it will not work.
In order to upgrade said machine, one must buy Keep LifeNet Repair Kit (40) or its equivalent for the sector, and use them on the machine.
A NPC: LineNet Technician provides information about the current status of the machine, and the requirements to upgrade it's tier.
Each time the requirements are fulfilled, the NPC will say "Ah, yes. The LifeNet Generator is working much better now. Go die! You'll see!"
The LifeNet Generator will start out as a “Broken LifeNet Generator”. While in this “broken” state, players are not able to respawn at the keep and the LifeNet Generator should not be able to take damage. It cannot be upgraded for 5 minutes after it spawns in. This is typically only a factor when enemy players destroy it and then it should very quickly respawn. It should never be missing from the keep for more than about 10 or 15 seconds.
The LifeNet Generators are visible from outside the keep and can actually be damaged by players from outside the keep if their weapon has enough range.[1]
Upgrades[]
The required items must be used directly on the machine for it to count towards overall progress. Each upgrades provides benefits for all faction members of the Keep, such as the ability to respawn on the underground cloning chambers, negate Cloning Sickness Tier 1 and others, and a special buff for using said facilities.
