Something's gone wrong with the LifeNet pods. They're spilling out these things, these Infected. The Infected aren't very tough, but most of them carry nanites that can get into you and impair your nervous system. I'm not yet sure if the medicine I've got will work.

The Lighthearers, Vistas, and CHOTA of the Plateau want you to obtain a sample of Infected blood to help them make a cure. You may obtain the sample from any Infected in the sector.
