You have decided that Jon Fitzwilliam might be all right. He's wanting to talk to you outside Coppermine.Description
Derek Halsten: We heard some clones were coming after Casta, so we figured they were just the distraction we needed to cut and run. We came north, plannin' to take up some decent line of work. Instead, we got jumped by some Judges, and the Coppermine guards heard the fightin'. When someone's gotta choose between Judges and total strangers, damn near everybody will shoot the Judges.
Player: And afterward?
Derek Halsten: By the time it was settled, we were too beat to make a fuss, so we passed ourselves off as Pinkston refugees. Then we realized Jon's idea about goin' straight was right: guards get regular pay, two square meals a day, and don't worry that their mates are gonna knife 'em in their sleep. So we signed on.
Sure, Jon was one of Casta's main executioners and killed a lot of people, but he's the closest thing Coppermine's got to a trained soldier. Don't see any Enforcers here helping out, do you? He's the best chance this town has to stay alive if he continues to serve and advise Sturbridge.
Player: Are you ready to let me talk to Jon?
Derek Halsten: If I haven't talked you around yet, then I guess I'm not gonna. I gave him a heads-up while you were busy, so he's gone out into the middle of nowhere to wait for you, away from that crazy woman outside -- that is if you still wanna talk to him. If you don't, that's your choice.
