Input Requested: Death Toll
Howdy Folks,
I'd like your input on 3 new Categories;
- Category:Item (Death Toll)
- Category:Armor (Death Toll)
- Category:Weapon (Death Toll)
- Category:Knowledge (Death Toll)
The purpose of them will be evident on this inital page I set up here; Category:Death_Toll
Now we can add a field into the related Item, Armor, and Weapon templated to automate the adding if the categories, as well as their death toll costs. We just don't have a method for recording Death Toll costs on items like Blood-flecked_Vest
So the Data Tree looks as such;
- Death Toll
- Category:Item (Death Toll)
- Dynamic Grip Tape
- Category:Armor (Death Toll)
- Blood-flecked_Vest
- Category:Weapon (Death Toll)
- some gun
- Category:Knowledge (Death Toll)
- Death Toll Assembly
- Category:Item (Death Toll)
I figure that all the category names fi…
Public Opinion: Armor (Cosmetic)
Sorry to post one of these so often, but if I just do it, they get undone.
Is it OK if label cosmetic items as Armor (Cosmetic)?
There should be a data grouping for Cosmetic items.
We can add a slot to the template to add this as well.
An example would be Item: Valkyrie Marauder Helmet
Public Forum: Abilities as Categories
I would like to propose that for each Ability (Dent Armor, Renew, Filtration, etc) we create a category page. This way we can nest their Actions (Renew 1, Renew 2, etc) to them as well as and books or Items that grant this flavor of the Ability. This would allow the information trees to display as in the following picture;
I feel that this accurately displays the relationship between the Ability and the Skill Tree it relates to.
I'd love to hear other's ideas on the topic.
Public Forum Question:Locations, Maps, and the Grand Canyon
I would like to see The Grand Canyon be a category.
Then under that I would like Locations and maps.
In my mind this then links to the Category Fallen_Earth_World. That creates a logical pattern from the home or main parent page. The page that (the home page) would also contain the links to game mechanics etc..
Categories and the N.W.O.
Well I'm gonna take a break for a few because the database keeps locking up on me, but so far I'm quite pleased with how well things are lining up. As you can see by looking at Category:Attributes Items are nested and expand as they are expected to. The annoying truth of what has to be done to properly document all of the attributes and the knowledge they grant is more categories. Meaning Every book should be a category, with the recipies contained within, linked to the Books Category.
I think it's the abundence of linkage that makes it confusing at times. However, once I complete the process of setting up the all the attributes, we should see the clear formula for victory. This should also rectify the capability of a Town Category succ…
